Feed Back on Final Pitch idea

Looking at the feed back we got, We decided to take their advise and look into a performance idea for our music video instead of just the images of this teenage Boy, at first we weren't sure this would work as the words to the lyrics are very synthesised and would look weird with a performing band but if we tried to make it fit with he images we have in mind for our video it could work quite well if the lead singer/band just blended into the scenes. Muse - Neutron star shows the sort of idea we were looking into for our performance element just showing silhouette of the band.

Looking into Location ideas for Music video

This is a shut down Hospital for the mentally ill that is still standing today but has not been taken over by any body it is in Epsom West Park. This would be a great location for our music video as it shows the loneliness the boy feels and how he got bullied here in the first place to try and fit in with a group.

Final Pitch Idea

The idea we finally decided to pitch for our music video was 'Climbing up the walls' by Radiohead which is a mellow, slow tempoed and trippy song where we could reflect loads of images we filmed and edit them on top of eachother and fading into each other to create a messy confused teenage who is lost in his own thoughts. It will look at how a teenager aged 16-17 copes when everything goes wrong, for example his mother has died and his father has turn acholic and he gets beaten up its look at the struggle he goes through at school and fitting in. We pitched our idea to the rest of the group to get there feed back.

Showing feed back

This was the first time I tried Wordle just a try out to see how it worked and I found that you need to use more then 10 words to make the image look better and mroe exciting.

Using the word cloud look at the most promenent words that came out of my feed back and what I needed to look at to help make my idea for a music video better.

Feedback

- I got postive feedback on my pitch but they also gave me a few more added ideas to make my music video into something more.

-one idea was that I needed to look more into the mise en scene of my set and look into the smallest of details to try and show the party scene and how the characters are enjoying what is going on. I decided i needed to look into the detail of the food and drinks that are around the table.

-This idea was too look at the artists indivdual style and what he wears and what his style is like so that I make sure this is shown in the music video

- Another idea I got back was to look into different time periods for what the characters may wear and the way the characters in the video may act. This would give the video a twist and look at a old dinner party.

The songs I'm looking into for my music video

The cinematic Orchestra - To Build A Home, I decided to look at generations and getting older over time. The John Lewis advert was what inspired my decision. The lyrics of the song represents a tree growing old so I decided to look  into the idea of growing old and genrations.

King Charles - Love Lust my idea was too look at a mad hatters tea party and have people dressed up in littler dresses and top hats and then to have a food fight. This has more of a narrative then my other ideas. I want to lead singer and the young girl to be out of the action but to be sitting ether end of the table.


99 Problems - Hugo I looked at the idea of weird images and possibly gang fights, I want to make it look disturbing and weird with out much of a narrative.

Atlas Hands - This idea I looked at the use of just close ups of  different faecal parts simple but quite effective as you can tell a lot by just the eyes or mouth and so on.
