On the day of the prelim task we got prepped for what we were about to shoot by listing all the different shots in order of conveniences. We met the band, Akers of Life with their track we were filming 'I like it when the pretty girls smile'. We started with a wide shot to make sure we had a full shot of the band members so that we could edit in our more detailed shots and still have enough of the whole band to edit on. We then worked from there too our shot of a close up on the lead singer and then continued with different close ups on insturments like the basest, guitarist and drummer. We then decided on the day that it would be a good shot if we put the camera on the floor and focused on the feet as they jumped about dancing which would give our video something different to edit too, we were influenced by this shot from the band Green Day. This worked well when it came to editing as we tried to keep it short and sharp to fit with the beat of the music, this also worked well with all the head banging as it was much easier to edit from instruments to a medium shot of the singer and basest. All our shots I felt worked well with the pace of the music but there is still room for improvement when it comes to the real day. We also felt that we could have spent a little longer on editing the pace and sharpness of each shot and think of a few more camera angles that would help make our video different and interesting.
